FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The latest dollar store robbery took place Monday night, according to the Fort Wayne Police Department.
Officers were called to the Dollar General on East Tillman Road around 10 p.m. for a reported armed robbery.

Police said the suspect is a black man, approximately 5-foot 10-inches tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a grey hat, a grey and white shirt and black pants at the time of the robbery.
Officers canvassed the area and a K-9 officer attempted to track the suspect, but none were successful.

It’s unclear how many employees were in the store at the time of the robbery, but online information indicated the store closed at 9 p.m. No injuries were reported.
Nearly a dozen dollar stores have been robbed in Fort Wayne and Allen County this year. Law enforcement officials believe most of the robberies are connected.
